The Leadership Effectiveness Profile is based on contemporary situational and contingency leadership theories which suggest that there is no one best way to lead in all situations. Rather, the "best" or most effective leadership approach depends on such variables as the knowledge, expertise and responsibility of the employee(s), the nature of the task and the particular circumstances of the immediate leadership situation.
The Leadership Effectiveness Profile assesses situational and contingency leadership skills by evaluating which leadership styles managers and other employees are most likely to use; how well they can determine which leadership style is most effective in a given situation; and how well they can modify their behavior to achieve superior leadership performance.
