Purpose: Whether you run a child care center, a service group, or children’s camp, you need child care workers with the personality to work with children of all ages. Use our online Child Care Worker II Test before you hire for positions requiring the very best people for working with children.

Hiring child care workers, scout leaders, camp counselors and youth leaders requires finding people with more than the right experience. They need to have all of the right personality traits, too. Being patient, kind, safety and security-minded, and cognizant of their actions are important traits when working with children. Their ability to work well with children not just the first few days but each and every day is crucial.

This test for Child Care workers is useful for staff at summer camps and day camps, nurseries, and day care centers as well as youth organization volunteers, babysitters, school volunteers, Sunday School teachers, Boy Scout leaders, Girl Scout leaders, and 4-H leaders. For leaders, our tests identify candidates with good managerial skills to oversee employees and program activities, and who delegate well and work through supervisors to establish a collaborative environment, while being an enthusiastic supporter for children.

About the Test: This test consists of two parts (1) a 142 question personality inventory, (2) a 44 item test of general cognitive aptitude with about equal number questions for verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, and abstract reasoning. It probably takes about 60-90 minutes to complete it although this will vary from person to person because it is untimed.

Note: If you are looking for a similar test without aptitude (for a lower price), please see the Child Care Worker I and the Camp Counsellor Test.

What the Report Gives You: Graphical display of scores, narrative interpretation of aptitude results, list of strengths and developmental concerns, and suggested interview questions.
