Purpose: It will help you identify the person who has the intelligence for handling complicated mechanical tasks, plus they are easy to get along with, work cooperatively with others on the team, are stable and dependable, communicate well, and work hard.
About the Test: This test battery has five separate aptitude tests and a personality inventory (1) 20 minute pattern series test of general abstract reasoning that evaluates the ability to learn quickly and handle complex information, (2) 15 minute Math Test at about the 8th grade level of competency that presents problems typical in an industrial setting, (3) a 20 minute mechanical reasoning test that evaluates people’s understand of basic mechanical/physical principles of everyday life, (4) a 16 minute reading test, about the 8th grade competency level, that presents scenarios typical of an industrial setting, (5) a 5 minute 3-D reasoning test that evaluates how well people can visualize how parts fit together inside a whole object/machine, and (6) a 84 question personality inventory. There are 76 minutes of actual testing time (without instructions) for the aptitude tests, then the personality portion will probably take another 15 minutes, so most people will require about two hours to complete this assessment.

Testing Process: Online testing provides immediate reporting. Proctoring is desirable but not required.
