The Typing assessments are timed tests designed to measure a candidate’s speed and accuracy in typing. There are four different forms of typing test. Each form contains a different passage. Three forms of the typing assessments allow the candidates 5 minutes to type passages into a simulated word processing document. Candidates will need a printed text original for this type of evaluation. In the fourth form, the text original is displayed directly above the area in which the candidate types a response. The candidate will not need a printed original for the evaluation. The reading level of these assessments range from the 10th to 12th grades.
